Photos of the
renovation of the Honest Alley Exchange! P3
5/18/07 - note the wall - this is the support for the ramp that will
come from the front street to the balcony in front of my store. The
blocks in the middle of the pic will be the mid landing for the
stairway!
6/17/07 - Not really sure what these decorative columns are going to
look like but I think they are going to be bricked...
6/17/07 - Concrete has been poured for the area under the balcony!
6/29/07 - These are metal supports that will attach the balcony /
overhang to the building. This has been a HUGE bottleneck so we are very
excited!!!
6/29/07 - more preparation for the balcony and walkway. Trench is
dug - unsure what this is for. Plumbing?
6/29/07 - LOOK!!! I have back windows!! The first two from the right
will be mine!
6/29/07 - hard to see in this pic, but it looks like there is
electrical wiring coming out of the walls near the columns. I know much
of the electrical has been completed at this point. There is also a
slice in the upper left side of the wall where they are going to begin
the windows for this side!
7/4/07 - WOO HOO!! More windows! Both of these are mine as well.
This building is finally beginning to look like something!
7/4/07 - supports for the balcony are going up now. Once the balcony
is up, so much should be able to happen quickly! Wow, I might actually
get open in 2007!!!
7/7/07 - more supports up for the balcony now. There was a fella
there welding these as we watched. They have cleaned out the two side
windows now and were installing support plates as well. Keep in mind
this was a SATURDAY!!! I was amazed to see the workers there as they
have not been working weekends at all through the majority of this
project!
If you look closely you can see a small hole in the front of the
building next to the second upright pole from the left. This is the
start of some front windows / doors!! It is taking shape!
